ONLINE LPC RENEWAL INSTRUCTIONS
   


To renew a license online, you will need to follow the steps below:
 

1. Login to your profile using the login button on the bottom left hand side of the screen or click here.
 

2. Upload a current passport style photo (See Photo Requirements) (Instructions)
 

3. Review and update your contact information on the General Registration tab

4. Enter CE hours (Click the Education Tab)

5. Complete Renewal Application (see below)

    a) If you are an LPC, after you have entered and met the CEH requirements and uploaded your photo, the Renew License button will appear. When you click the Renew License button, you will be taken to the Renewal Application. The LPC Renewal Application includes additional profile questions along with Personal and Licensure History questions.
     
    b)

    If you are an LPC-S, you are required to complete a Status Update on supervisees seen since the last renewal as a requirement of renewal before the Renew License button will appear. When you click the Renew License button, you will be taken to the Renewal Application. The LPC Renewal Application includes additional profile questions along with Personal and Licensure History questions.
     
     

    6. Complete Background Check (if applicable)
      If your license was issued prior to June 30, 2011, you will be prompted to answer additional questions and then the Department of Public Safety (DPS) Authorization to Release Information form will prepopulate. Print the form, sign it and mail it along with a $32 money order to the MS DPS address on the form. Renewal will be processed when all other steps are complete; however, if your background check is not received in the Board office by September 1, 2017,  your license status will revert to Lapsed, and you will not be licensed to practice in Mississippi.

     

    7. Remit Renewal Fee(s)
      Click Continue to be taken to the shopping cart. Check the licensee renewal amount and then click Next to continue to the online payment system. The Biennial License Renewal Fee is $220, the Biennial LPC-S / Board Qualified Supervisor Renewal Fee is $50. If you were approved by the Board as an LPC-S in 2017 and your license renewal date is 6/30/2017, you are NOT required to renew this designation until 2019. All online renewal applications for Licensed Professional Counselors must be processed by June 30, 2017, or a reapplication fee of $100 will be assessed.
     
    Renewal payment can be made by credit card, electronic check, or mailing a check or money order to the Board office. Please note that if you use the online payment, there will be a nominal fee, and if you choose to mail in check or money order, it must be received before the procesing deadline of June 19, 2017, to avoid $100 reapplication fee.
     
    8. Renewal Certificate and Wallet Card
      Your renewal will be reviewed by Board staff for completeness and compliance with renewal requirements. If found to be complete and compliant, the Renewal Certificate and Wallet Card will be mailed within ten (10) working days of online submission.
